Is there a charge for a house clearance quotation?

No, we offer a free no obligation quote, usually within 24 hours of viewing the property.


How is the quotation calculated?

Each clearance is different depending on the size of the property and the contents to be cleared  but as a general rule ithe second hand value of items is offset against our expenses.


What does a house clearance involve?

 We will clear the property including the loft, garage and shed. We will remove all furniture, electrical items, bric-a-brac, curtains and clothes. We will leave the property tidy.


Will you clear the loft/garage/shed as well?

Yes, they can be included as part of the clearance with the exception of hazardous substances such as asbestos, chemicals and motor oils.


What will be re-cycled?

We aim to re-cycle as much as we can through a variety of ways either by donating to local charity shops, or using a waste disposal company that separate and re-cycle.


Do you donate items to charity?

We take items of clothing, curtains and bedding to local charity shops including Sue Ryder,The Salvation Army, Age UK,and Saint Catherine's


Are you licensed and insured?

We are Environment Agency registered (CB/QE5782EG), we comply with the Government 28 Waste Act 2011, which required the carrier to be licensed to dispose of waste and have full liability insurance.


Do you offer a cleaning service once the property is empty?

We automatically leave the property in a presentable state by wiping surfaces, sweeping or hoovering floors. We can offer a comprehensive cleaning service if required for an additional fee.


If other companies clear terms for free, why would I need to pay you?

To dispose of items legally is expensive and you are liable for this should you hire an unlicensed, uninsured company who cut corners and fly tip items. If fly tipped waste can be traced back to you, you could be fined up to £5000.


What happens to the rubbish/waste?

We use a waste management company who sort and recycle items such as metals, plastics, cardboard, paper, wood and glass.


Do I need to be at the property when it is cleared?

No, not necessarily. We can arrange to collect and drop off keys if that is more convenient for you.


How long does a clearance take?

Every clearance is different but generally it should only take a couple of days.
